Hlavné mesto Anglicka a Spojeného kráľovstva je snom všetkých cestovateľov. Má bohatú históriu i kultúru, veľa galérií a múzeí, skvostnú architektúru, každý si tam nájde svoje. Ide o jedno z najnavštevovanejších miest na svete a najľudnatejšie mesto Veľkej Británie. BIG BEN nie je veža. V skutočnosti sa Big Ben nazýva zvon. Samotná veža sa volá The Elizabeth Tower (Veža kráľovnej Alžbety). V Londýne majú rôzne podivné zákony. Napríklad v paláci Westminster je nelegálne zomrieť. Aký by bol však za to trest nie je jasné. Londýn je domovom troch z desiatich najlepších múzeí a galérií na svete. Celkovo sa v meste nachádza okolo 860 umeleckých galérií. V Londýne sa hovorí viac ako 300 jazykmi. Natrafiť tam môžete na kantončinu či mandarínčinu. Najobľúbenejšou turistickou atrakciou je London Eye - obrovské ruské koleso na južnom brehu Temže. Londýnske metro je prvým podzemným železničným systémom na svete a najstarším tranzitným systémom. Začalo jazdiť v roku 1863 medzi Paddingtonom a Farringdonom. Britské múzeum je najväčšie múzeum v spojenom kráľovstve a jedným z najstarších a najlepších múzeí na svete. Egyptská galéria múzea má najlepšiu zbierku egyptských starožitností na svete. Buckinghamský palác je oficiálnym londýnskym sídlom britského panovníka a najväčšou kráľovskou pracovňou na svete. Súčasne vládne krajine Alžbeta II. Neexistuje nič, čo by ste v Londýne nenašli. Stále je tam čo pozerať, veď posúďte sami, tu je zopár krásnych fotografií...

The capital of England and the United Kingdom is the dream of all travelers. It has a rich history and culture, lots of galleries and museums, gorgeous architecture, everybody finds its own. It is one of the most visited places in the world and the most populous city of Great Britain. BIG BEN is not a tower. In fact, Big Ben is called a bell. The tower itself is called The Elizabeth Tower (Tower of Queen Elizabeth). There are a lot of strange laws in London. For example, in Westminster palace is illegal to die. However, what penalty would not be clear for it. London is the home of three of the ten best museums and galleries in the world. Altogether, around 860 art galleries are located in the city. More than 300 languages are spoken in London. You can find and hear there everything from Cantonese to Mandarin. The most popular tourist attraction is the London Eye - a huge Russian wheel on the south bank of the Thames. The London Underground is the world's first underground rail system and the oldest transit system. It began to ride in 1863 between Paddington and Farrington. The British Museum is the largest museum in the United Kingdom and one of the oldest and best museums in the world. The Egyptian Museum Gallery has the best collection of Egyptian antiques in the world. Buckingham Palace is the official London residence of the British Monarch and the largest royal office in the world. Now is Britain led by Queen Elizabeth II.
